HOT TUBS AND BEACH WALKS @ THE SCARLET

Not long after we arrived, we bundled up in our waterproofs and wellies, and headed down from the hotel to the huge empty beach below the cliffs. There really was something magical about having the whole beach all to ourselves, with the rain on our faces and the cold, fresh air whipping around us. We walked and talked, whilst wiping the cold cornish rain from our faces, before trekking back up to the hotel to dry off before getting our next soaking. We had booked a slot in the hotels cliff top hot tub. I was apprehensive at first due to the weather, but in the end couldn't recommend it enough. Although we paid £20 for the privilege, the rain and mist made it even more memorable than I could of ever imagined. The half an hour slot just wasn't enough.

I didn't really take many photos of the hotel (apart for the reception entrance below) but I couldn't recommend it enough. The food was glorious, the spa facilities were to die for and the view! Did I mention the view?
Phone service is a no go, so you have no other choice than to get lost in your own little Cornish world for a few days, which is my new idea of heaven.

  1. Even though I only live about ten minutes away from the Scarlet I would love to have a little mini break there - it looks stunning! Hope you enjoyed your short trip to Cornwall!
