On April the 30th, 10.35pm our world altered for the better and our little bundle arrived unexpectedly early at 28 weeks + 3 days.

It is a cliche to say, but the last 6 months have been incredibly, positively life changing.

Henry began his first 9 weeks of life being cared for in the NICU, before coming home on medical oxygen, where he continues to thrive and grow like any other baby.

This little slice of internet has seen me randomly posting snippets of my life and travels over the past 5 years (and older blogs before that) and I can’t think of a better way to help me document our ever growing adventure.

Hoping that you will pop back, as I would like to start from the beginning with Henrys story…

A few weeks ago I popped over to Paris with a friend for some lunch… and some sight-seeing and excessive walking of course! We set off bright and early at 4.45am to catch the first train out of St Pancras to Paris and in true style we crammed in as much as possible! Not…

Another week another breakfast… This time we settled down for a morning of people watching and dodging the rain to get stuck into a good old hearty breakfast. I don’t seem to mix it up much – but I really can’t resist the goodness of a perfect poached egg! Situated on one the corner of…

We had one more place in mind before taking the Eurotunnel home, so took a slight detour and spent the afternoon in Lille… I remember visiting once before with the school about 10 years, but couldn’t pinpoint exactly what we did for the day (and for someone that boasts that they can remember silly detail…

It was so great to get away this past weekend to the big smoke… I probably take it for granted that London is so close to Brighton and don’t seem to visit as often as I should, but with my friends birthday on the Friday and a last minute trip with the mother, it…

Later that afternoon we continued our drive South to Epernay… Apparently it’s the self-proclaimed capital of Champagne and home to many- many of the worlds most celebrated Champagnes – and obviously we planned to try as many as we could! Upon arrival it wasn’t as picturesque as previously imagined, the rolling green vineyards were replaced…
