FROM THE WEEKEND // BIKE RIDING & PICNICS
The sun finally made an appearance this weekend, so of course being classic Brits, we packed up the hamper got into the car with some friends and drove into the country to make the most of what England has to offer. It's funny how just in that second the sun beats down on your skin, the dreadful, long cold Winter disappears along with all of your worries and you fall head over heels again with everything around you. It was so much fun to have the first picnic of the year, and I can't wait for many more this summer.
Sunday was spent bike riding in my first charity event this year, and it really was tough. A lot tougher than I was expecting, and with a diverse route taking us 40 miles over the Sussex downs, it felt like such an accomplishment when I had finished. The heat didn't help, but the views and weather kept me going for sure. Now for a little more training before the London to Brighton in 3 weeks time!

FROM THE WEEKEND // HOME LOVING
After a busy few weeks it was amazing not having much on the agenda. Apart from seeing some family throughout the weekend, it mainly consisted off not doing an awful lot, and I mean that. I spent the majority of it lazing around the house, putting off all the chores and eating eggs for dinner ^^^
We have also finally received plans for our new extension, so I am currently in pin heaven, frantically working out how to decorate the damn thing. But one step at a time, the plans need to go in to get approved and we then hope to start at the end of the summer, so we at least have a liveable garden to host BBQ's and parties throughout the season. I am also looking forward to sharing the renovation process and ideas here on the blog, and I will say it again, I am SO happy pinterest is in my life this time around. So make sure you go and follow me here

BUSY
It's been a while, a very long while but I think I am ready to pick my camera up and get going on this old blogging thing again! It seems the more I do, the more daunting it seems to try and catch up with everything, so I just keep putting it off. These past few months have been super busy. I have been settling into my new job, which I love, and generally fitting in as much as I possibly can, with seeing friends and family, spending quality time with Si and spending some time away. I love to travel, and will be sharing some recent adventures very soon, but I also just can't wait for this summer to arrive so the real adventures can begin :)
{enjoying a cuppa at The Coffee Counter, the cutest coffee shop/antique place that I have seen a while. Only in Brighton}
