You are spoilt for choice in Brighton with the amount of coffee shops littered through the laines, and I’m making it my mission to try them all – well eventually…
Silo popped up quite a few months ago, with the mission statement to serve all their food from scratch and to not create any waste, re-using produce and finding inventive ways to do so. Tucked away behind Kensington Gardens, you can’t miss it’s striking exterior (i’m a real sucker for a well designed cafe/shop/restaurant) which invites you in with their fresh bread and produce on display before ushering you to sit down by their open kitchen, to pick your food choice displayed by OHP on the wall (that’s overhead projector, which transports me right back to singing assembly in Junior school)
I’ve stopped by a few times for coffee, but still need to return to give their ever changing menu ago.
Make sure you follow them on instagram to keep up to date with all their new creations and menu changes.
You will find them at 39 Upper Gardner Street, North Laine, Brighton BN1 4AN
