THE LAKE DISTRICT

I have finally resurfaced after spending a wonderful few days in the Lake District with what seems to now be an annual holiday with the parentals...
It was great to get away for a few days in good old England for a change and to live and breath what we all have on our door step. I even invested in a waterproof (see above) as, of course, the English Summer weather played hide and seek with us for the duration of our trip. Other than a day spent walking up a mountain (which if you come to The Lake District you would be mad not to) we found ourselves driving through the endless mountain ranges, with the most spectacular views I have ever seen, and stopping of at little villages for food and drink. We stayed in a village called Ambleside, and spent our evenings with a drink in hand and eating the local pub grub.
And the best bit? I didn't have to dress up once!

  1. Ah this looks so lovely, I stayed in Ambleside a few years ago too, I could do with some of that English fresh air again! Ailish Goes

  2. The Lake District is mine and my boyfriend's favourite place, such amazing views and a great friendly atmosphere! We stayed in Windemere last year and were in Keswick for a few hours yesterday after going to Go Ape, looks like you had a lovely time! x
