ASHDOWN PARK HOTEL
At the end of last week by good friend Zoe sent me a text saying 'I've been invited on a press day to sample 4 hotels and get flown around by helicopter to each hotel, do you want to come?' errrrrr, let me think? YES!
Well, I wasn't actually allowed to join in for the whole day, but I was invited to spend the night at the rather beautiful Ashdown Park Hotel and to fully indulge in the free bubbly and scrumptious food. It would be rude to say no ;)
We were shown to our suite, caught up on all the gossip and got ready for drinks and canapés in the garden before being shown to our seats where dinner was served.

and all the poor quality iPhone pics taken by yours truly.
The food, albeit slightly on the small side and not ideal when you haven't eaten all day, was superb. With a thumbs up for my first taste of crab, the tenderness of the lamb (poor little lamb) and the variety of sweet treats I was definitely impressed. We sipped on more bubbly till past midnight, before heading off to bed to try on our oversized dressing gowns, as you do.
After waking the next day with a slightly sore head we indulged in the huge breakfast spread, swam a few lengths in the pool and had a stroll through the grounds, before heading home with a huge smile on my face.
Thank you Zoe (who may I add blogs over here) for the random date night, it was great to see you and you know...call me ;)
