A TRIP TO NORTH WALES

I don't know how but I seem to of forgotten about my trip to Wales back in June. Me, Si and my parents made the journey up to North Wales to stay in the heart of Snowdonia. After a 5 hour journey and feeling slightly queasy we checked into our B&B in the cute village of Beddgelert (pronounced bethgerlert) and went to explore.

The next day we rose early for breakfast on the terrace and then set out to embark on our adventure for the day...to climb Mount Snowdon.

I have actually already climbed it 10 years ago with my dad, and was keen to do it again. It isn't the hardest of mountains to climb, due to how popular it is and the obvious path all the way to the top, but who cares, it's still the highest mountain in Wales.
I didn't want to lug my camera up the mountain with me so just snapped away with my iphone. The sun was shining, the mountain was still relatively quiet, and the view...

After nearly 3 hours we reached the Peak, we took our obligatory photos, and ate our lunch looking at
the spectacular view.

If you wanted to cheat they do have a train that runs daily, so you can still see the amazing view but you can save on having sore legs for the next few days. For some reason Si and I thought it would be fun to run down the mountain, it was until I tripped and fell on the rocks, but luckily my years of gymnastics training came in handy and I was able to ninja roll out of the situation, much to the amusement of the other walkers. We decided to walk from then on.

  5. I walked up Snowdon a few years ago and LOVED it. It's a great feeling of achievement, isn't it!? And I loved your falling-down-the-mountain story. We sang "She'll be coming down the mountain when she comes" at the top of our voices the whole way down- again, much to the amusement of the other walkers! xx
